The wax is Stearin from the fruit of palm trees, an earth friendly green resource and the wicks are 100% cotton. All of our candles are unscented and made from the highest quality possible.
What makes GeoCandles so unique? Besides the unique geometrical designs, GeoCandles are NOT made from paraffin. Most ordinary candles are made from paraffin wax, which is a petroleum by-product during gasoline manufacturing. Most of the lesser quality candles in today's market produce a LARGE amount of unhealthy soot which can discolor the surroundings and can actually be harmful to your health.
GeoCandles are hand made from 100% palm wax, which is a very CLEAN burning material. And since it comes from the fruit of the palm tree, no harm comes to the trees. It's a renewable / sustainable resource.
We could have made our candles from any material, but we specifically chose palm wax for a wide variety of reasons, including environmental factors, simple health concerns and being an extremely high quality ingredient.
For example, regular paraffin candles can become soft at only 80° - 85°F, which can cause the candle to bend and loose their shape. GeoCandles maintain their unique shape up to 130° F, thus preserving their design during use.
Also higher heat causes regular candles to drip, especially paraffin. GeoCandles are extremely drip resistant. No candle can claim to be 100% drip free all the time, but our GeoCandles are awfully close.
None of our candles are made in China nor do they contain lead of any sort - an important consideration in choosing to buy candles, as many lower quality candles are made in and imported from China.
